Any optical aid, from binoculars to a small or large telescope, will show craters and mountain ranges on the Moon.
Take a peek, even in gaps between the clouds at the Moon.
Here’s two photos, with my Canon XS on a tripod, with a 250mm zoom lens. The first photo shows how the moon looks in the camera, but the next two photos have just the part with the moon in it.
The next night’s moon was very 3d with the mountain range north of the center of the Moon casting large shadows, but clouds kept the photos from being very sharp.
