Let’s hear it for the computer models and the forecasters’ good use of them, including explaining the parts that were uncertain.
Heavy snow was forecasted after a change from rain and Connecticut and New England were told they would would not even see rain.
That’s what happened. Compare the snow totals with the maps earlier on this blog. Not bad for such an extremely out of the ordinary event.
And the best news is that people listened to the forecasts and took action to protect themselves.
Those that could get ready, were ready. I know that some are still reeling from SuperSandy and found themselves moving again. Let’s remember that there are still those without homes or without heat this winter.
