OK, what about next week?

From the Weather Service Forecast Discussion…..
.LONG TERM /SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/…
HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS ACROSS THE AREA ON SUNDAY AND THROUGH THE
BEGINNING OF THE WORK WEEK. THE RECENT CHILLY POLAR TEMPERATURES
WILL END AS A WARM FRONT LIFTS NORTHWARD MONDAY INTO
TUESDAY…SUPPORTING MILDER CONDITIONS WITH TEMPERATURES 10 TO 15
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.

AT THIS TIME WILL KEEP PRECIPITATION TYPE SIMPLE…WITH THE ONSET
STARTING AS SNOW THEN CHANGING OVER TO MAINLY RAIN ACROSS NYC AND
LONG ISLAND AND RAIN-FREEZING RAIN ACROSS INTERIOR SECTIONS. AS
TEMPERATURES WARM UP ON TUESDAY PRECIPITATION SHOULD BE ALL RAIN.

AS AN UPPER LOW DEEPENS OVER THE GREAT LAKES AND A SURFACE LOW
STRENGTHENS…A COLD FRONT IS THEN EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS THE AREA
WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY. CONFIDENCE FOR THIS TIME PERIOD IS
LOW. THE [models are mixed on] THE TIMING OF THE FRONTAL PASSAGE. WILL
MAINTAIN CHANCE POPS WEDNESDAY…THEN BACK TO SLIGHT CHANCE FOR
THURSDAY. DRY CONDITIONS RETURN ON FRIDAY WITH TEMPERATURES FALLING
BACK TO BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.
