Here’s a photo I took at the Westchester Astronomers’ Starway to Heaven this month.
It’s a ten second exposure, ISO 400, zoomed to 55mm focal length, Canon XS on a tripod. The bright dot in the evening twilight sky really is Jupiter. The young man was sitting atop a pile of rocks. Someone must have scraped them up into a pile, perhaps while plowing snow from the unpaved parking lot.
