Manhattanhenge morning

This morning at 7:30, the sun shined all the way down our hallway here in lower Manhattan.  The sunbeam would have gone all the way through the building if a file cabinet hadn’t blocked it.

Reason:  Just after sunrise this morning, the sun was lined up with the street grid in Manhattan, so it could shine in the window facing east southeast and out the other side.  For a while the sunbeam didn’t even touch the floor.  Several people were fairly impressed.
